Avengers: Infinity War Still Twisting Our Brains
**Spoiler Alert! Don't continue if you haven't seen the movie!**
Ok, when the end credits rolled after Infinity War, I think most of us were pretty confused. Thanos' snap had wiped out half the universe and caused them to turn to dust, including some of our favorite heroes like Scarlett Witch/Wanda Maximoff, Bucky Barnes, T'Challa, Doctor Strange, Sam Wilson/Falcon, Star-Lord/Peter Quill, Mantis, Baby Groot, Drax, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and, most heart-breaking of all, Peter Parker/Spiderman.
Now, before our brains had time to process, we were probably feeling like Marvel had reached into our chests and torn our hearts out. But once my brain caught up, I thought, "Wait, half of these heroes already have confirmed sequels." I feel pretty confident most of the fandom came to the same realization that I did.
However, we do have Marvel writers such as Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely being adamant that the characters that turned to dust are really dead. Now, we've all seen the cast list for Avengers 4, and all of our heroes are in the movie. Yay, right? Maybe not. Thanos does possess the Time Stone, which, if they could get it, would allow the Avengers to go back in time before the snap and see the characters that turned to dust before they "died." This idea has been floated as a theory, especially since photos of 1940's Steve Rogers have been leaked from the set of Avengers 4. This has left our heads confused and swirling with theories like this one. However, since the confirmed sequels of Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, and Spiderman will most likely take place post-Infinity War, I think it’s pretty safe to say that the characters that turned to dust will be resurrected.
